Eckroat heads All-State golfers

State 6A gold medalist Austin Eckroat of State Champion Edmond North has been named to lead the Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State golf team for 2017. Teammate Laken Hinton, who finished fourth in state championship play, joins Eckroat on the West All-State team. Austin Kang of Edmond Memorial is also a member of the West squad. Karson Reeder of Edmond North and Amanda Prasuhn of Edmond Santa Fe were selected as members of the West All-State girls team. The Ryder Cup-style event will be July 24 at Cherokee Hills Golf Club in Catoosa as a part of the annual Oklahoma Coaches Association annual clinic and all-star games at various venues in the Tulsa area. Coaches for the event will be named later. The top two senior finishers on each side of the state at every state tournament earn an automatic All-State spot, with two at-large selections to finish out each roster.
