Austin Eckroat is a 2017 graduate of Edmond North. While at North he became the first freshman to claim the Oklahoma Class 6A individual crown, taking the title in 2014. He won his second state title as a senior in 2017. He helped guide Edmond North to three team state titles. He also earned all-state honors and was named the conference player of the year three times. He finished his prep career with a 71.65 scoring average, 15 wins, posted 41 top 10’s, and finished in the top three 28 times.

In his first year at Oklahoma State, Eckroat received honorable mention All-America recognition from the Golf Coaches Association of America and earned his first career victory at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate.

He was a part of the 2018 NCAA National Championship team. Eckroat posted a 1-over 289 total at the NCAA Championship to tie for 19th place. He posted a 1-up victory over Brandon Smith of Texas A&M during OSU’s NCAA quarterfinal win over Texas A&M, defeated Brandon Mancheno of Auburn, 3&2, during the Cowboys’ NCAA semifinal victory, and earned a 1-up victory over Alabama’s Davis Shore in the NCAA title match.

Just last week Eckroat was the individual champion at the Querencia Cabo Collegiate. He posted a final round 67 to finish at 14-under 199. He closed with 5 birdies and no bogeys on the back nine to seal the victory.
