The Edmond North Varsity Baseball Team started the season a little shaky. Last week they dropped their first two contests of the season to Norman North. In each of the games, there were lost opportunities at the plate and miscues in the field that led to Huskies being on the wrong side of the scoreboard. On Saturday, they showed what can happen when it all comes together.

On the mound, junior Carson Pierce threw a 5-inning 2 hit shutout against the #1 ranked Owasso. He worked his way out of a 1st inning jam, and eventually struck out 6 Rams on the day on his way to a complete game victory.

At the plate, the Huskies scored 11 runs on 9 hits on their way to the 11-0 victory.

Senior Jackie Robinson went 3-3, with a triple, double and knocked in one run.

Junior Colby Entwisle had a huge day, including a 1st inning 2-run homerun that put the Huskies up 4-0. He added a bases-clearing triple in the 4th to put the game away. Entwistle finished with 5 RBI.

Max Bouvette, Carter Hines, Noah Miller, and Karsten Menard all added hits for Edmond North.

North will play PC North Monday/Tuesday and then Heritage Hall on Thursday, They will be traveling to Arizona over Spring Break to play in the Best of the West Tournament.
