Coming off of a successful Spring Break, the Edmond North Varsity baseball team was looking to continue their hot streak against crosstown rival Edmond Memorial on Monday night. You can always expect some excitement when it comes to Edlam, and last night did not disappoint! In the end, Edmond North came up with a few bigs plays offensively and defensively to take down Memorial by a score of 3-2.

Both teams put up 2 runs in the 1st inning, but that's all the scoring that would happen until the top of 6th. Janson Reeder led off the inning and quickly deposited a fastball over the wall in right-center giving the Huskies the lead that they would not give up.

Earlier in the 4th, senior shortstop Karsten Menard helped to keep the Bulldogs off the scoreboard by making a tremendous diving play up the middle and a throw to 1st to end the half inning.

On the mound, the Huskies got a solid start out of senior Caleb Isaacs, who went 5 2/3 striking out 6 Bulldogs in picking up the win. Carson Pierce came in to finish up the final 1 1/3, getting the save and striking out 4 batters.

The two teams will meet again tonight at Edmond North at 7:00.
