The Edmond North 9th grade football team finished their season on a high note last night beating the Norman North Timberwolves 24-19 at Husky Stadium. The Huskies used a dominating offensive line performance to wear down the Timberwolves. The Huskies rushed for 215 yards on the night, and defensively forced two big turnovers that helped tame the Timberwolves offense.

Norman North scored first on their first drive, but wouldn't score again until the 4th quarter thanks to a Carmelo Ayala interception, and game changing hustle play by Jaylen Mims. Mims ran down a Norman North receiver and knocked the ball loose and it was recovered by Kai Simpson. That turnover led to an Ethan Brady 6 yard TD run and put the Huskies up 17-7.

Norman North would cut the lead to 17-13 late in the 4th. Edmond North recovered an onside kick and two plays later Cameron Gaffney would seal the game with a 49 yard TD run his 2nd score of the night to make the score 24-13.

TJ Strong contributed with a 25 yard field goal right before halftime.
